Topics

  1. Integrating methods and processes
    • processes integrating methods from both worlds
    • approaches to integrate SE methods with UE aspects
    • value-based approaches
  2. Cultural, socio-technical, and organizational issues
    • common and contradictory principles of the two disciplines
    • falls shorts of expectations and misunderstandings between the disciplines based on artifacts and problems in the communication, ambiguous terminology
    • motivation/overcoming practitioner resistance
    • contractor/sub-contractor management and usability aspects
  3. Integrating tools
    • add-ons or newly developed tools, supporting both UE and SE
    • requirements for the "integrated" tool
    • what is missing in modeling tools, RE tools, IDE's, etc. to cover UE aspects

Participants

Participants with industrial and academic background are invited. Attendance is limited and all participants should have a paper accepted for the workshop.
